Pennisetum, commonly known as fountain grass, is often referred to as 'Halfah' in Arabic. Its natural distribution ranges from North Africa and Tropical Africa to the Arabian Peninsula, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia. This perennial grass typically grows between 90 cm and 1.5 meters in height, with a spread of up to 1.5 meters. Flowering begins in early summer, producing spikes up to 20 cm long. Fountain grass is a highly attractive ornamental plant that requires minimal maintenance. Occasional pruning helps to densify the clump and promotes healthier rejuvenation.
