Ixora is a genus of flowering plants in the Rubiaceae family, consisting of tropical evergreen trees and shrubs with around 500 species. Although native to tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, its center of diversity is in Tropical Asia.
Most Ixora species thrive in full sun and prefer acidic, well-drained soil rich in organic matter and free from nematodes. While they can tolerate some salt spray, planting them in shady areas or allowing water to sit on the leaves can lead to the development of sooty mold.
Sunlight: Ixora plants tolerate and thrive in full sun.
Water: Water thoroughly 2?3 times per week, allowing the soil to partially dry between waterings.
